JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for operating a variety of light and heavy equipment to support facility and grounds maintenance.  Loads and unloads heavy equipment from vehicles used to transport it. Inspects the vehicles and are in standard with Department of Transportation regulations. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Operates a variety of light and heavy equipment to support the facilities and grounds of the CRAA in a safe and efficient way.
  • Operates a concrete cutting saw, Bobcat forestry cutter, bush hog, backhoe, John Deere zero turn mower and front deck mower, forklifts and hand trucks, dump truck and flatbed trucks, excavators, and other equipment as necessary to complete essential functions; and performs preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operations and long-life cycle of equipment.
  • Transports equipment and other supplies (tables and chairs for event planning); operates pressure washer equipment and maintains parking decks and other surfaces; cuts and fills asphalt holes on site; prepares storm water reports and observes any pollution issues that may harm storm water and completes storm water reports, and escorts others to the appropriate on-site locations.
